Countless hours have been invested into research and development. This design embodies both form and function. The goal was to have an intake with the best efficiency possible, and that naturally lends itself to performance. The choice of placing the air filters at the kidney grilles give it an aggressive look and serve as the best location to scavenge cold air. The pressure points force air in during movement which greatly improve power and this will only increase with speed.

Date: 8/24/2012, Temperature conditions: hot at ~95°. Session started at noon and lasted approximately two hours.
All runs completed on the same afternoon with approximately an hour break in between session to install the intake and set up for the next run.
Coincidently this allowed the engine to cool down as well.

Stock Air Boxes
Run #1 and #2 = consistent results of 397/398 wHP along with 299/295 wTQ when the engine was still cool. The best run was after one warm up.
Run #3 = as expected, a drop in numbers as a result of engine heat soak. The last run yielded 390 wHP and 290 wTQ.
EFREN Built Ram Intake
Run #4-6 = consistent numbers in the upper 420s wHP including one that touched 430. Torque jumped to almost 320 with the last run deviating slightly as a result of a hotter engine.
The tight window of 428, 430, 428 wHP in this session shows just how effective the airflow is with this intake. Unlike the third run of the stock air boxes, the third run with the intake didn't show noticable signs of a heat-soaked engine.

Gains = +32.58 wHP and +19.82 wTQ

Date: 4/12/2013, Temperature conditions: warm at ~70°. Session started at one in the afternoon and lasted approximately five hours.
All runs completed on the same afternoon with approximately an three hour break in between session to install the intake and set up for the next run. We also used this opportunity to take photos to create the installation guide.
We took and compared the best results from the stock run versus the Efren Built intake runs.


Gains = +26.96 wHP and +26.71 wTQ
